A tragic shooting incident at the Islamic Center of San Diego on Monday has left three individuals dead and the local community in mourning. The violent attack occurred during the morning hours, prompting a massive law enforcement response as officers navigated a rapidly evolving situation that ended with the two teenage suspects taking their own lives.

Police arrived at the scene shortly after the shooting began, discovering the victims outside the facility. Among the deceased was a security guard whose quick actions and bravery are being credited with preventing a much larger tragedy. San Diego Police Chief Scott Wahl noted that the guard’s intervention was heroic, as he directly confronted the shooters and likely saved several other lives before succumbing to his injuries.
